Elementary Art Show
Opening Ceremony Wed, May 31st, 7pm - 9pm
Open to Parents Wed/Thurs, 9am - 4pm & Fri, 9am - 12 noon

 This year's elementary art exhibition highlights the wondrous nature and power of a child's imagination. Children were encouraged to draw, paint, and sculpt from their mind's eye, from their dreams, their fascinations and their passions. We explored artistic traditions from cultures around the world and worked with a variety of mediums ranging from paper mache, to clay, to painting, to sewing, to weaving, to collage and to printmaking. Many of the artworks this year seek to find a balance between observation and imagination, a balance between expressing the inner world of one's thoughts and dreams while also maintaining a space for careful study of the world around us. I hope the art exhibition takes you on a journey, where you can bear witness to the magical and powerful minds of your children.

Middle/High School Art Show

This year's Middle school and High school Art Expo is inspired by historical events, interdisciplinary projects and personal inquiries. From different art pieces of anthropomorphic flying creatures Inspired by the Renaissance and Marc Chagall paintings, surreal rooms related with the persistence of memory and symbolic self-portraits, sustainable Art projects made with plastic and old books, the making of a photographic device  and silent period cinema! Come and join the diversity with us.

EXPO Online Open All Week
FTC National Scrimmage Sat, June 3rd, 9am - 1 pm

The STEAM Expo is ONLINE again this year! Go to https://steamexpo23.asa.edu.py/ to see over 175 student submissions and K-12 classroom activities throughout the year. We are so proud of all our student submissions and encourage you to visit each and every one on the website.

In addition to the Online STEAM Expo, you find small STEAM Exhibits in both the Art Show and in the Makerspace. You are welcome to visit and explore these interactive exhibits during the Art Show Opening Ceremony on Wednesday evening and the Tri-M Concert on Tuesday evening.

To conclude an amazing week, our High School robotics team is hosting a FIRST Tech Challenge National Scrimmage with other teams from around Asuncion. If you want to come check out this friendly robotics event, join us in the gym from 9am - 12pm on Saturday, June 3rd.

Ceremonia de Apertura Miércoles, 31 de mayo, 7pm - 9pm
Abierto a los Padres Miércoles/Jueves, 9 am - 4 pm y Viernes, 9 am - 12 del mediodía

La exposición de arte de primaria de este año destaca la maravillosa naturaleza y el poder de la imaginación de un niño. Se animó a los niños a dibujar, pintar y esculpir desde el ojo de su mente, desde sus sueños, sus fascinaciones y sus pasiones. Exploramos tradiciones artísticas de culturas de todo el mundo y trabajamos con una variedad de medios que van desde papel maché, arcilla, pintura, costura, tejido, collage y grabado. Muchas de las obras de arte de este año buscan encontrar un equilibrio entre la observación y la imaginación, un equilibrio entre expresar el mundo interior de los pensamientos y sueños de uno manteniendo un espacio para el estudio cuidadoso del mundo que nos rodea. Esperamos que la exhibición de arte los lleve a un viaje, donde puedan ser testigos de las mentes mágicas y poderosas de sus hijos.

Este año, la Exposición de Arte de Escuela Media y Secundaria se inspira en eventos históricos, proyectos interdisciplinarios e investigaciones personales. Desde diferentes obras de arte de criaturas voladoras antropomórficas inspiradas en los ángeles del Renacimiento y las pinturas de Marc Chagall, habitaciones surrealistas relacionadas con la persistencia de la memoria, autorretratos simbólicos, proyectos de arte sostenible hechos con plástico, ¡libro-esculturas, fotografías y cine mudo!  Vengan  a admirar la diversidad con nosotros.

¡STEAM Expo vuelve a estar ONLINE este año! Siga el link: https://steamexpo23.asa.edu.py/ para ver más de 175 presentaciones de estudiantes y actividades en el aula K-12 durante todo el año. Estamos muy orgullosos de todas las presentaciones de nuestros estudiantes y les alentamos a que visiten todas y cada una de las presentaciones en el sitio web.

Además de la Exposición STEAM en línea, encontrarán pequeñas exhibiciones STEAM tanto en el Art Show como en el Makerspace. Le invitamos a visitar y explorar estas exhibiciones interactivas durante la Ceremonia de Apertura del Art Show el miércoles por la noche y el Concierto Tri-M el martes por la noche.

Para concluir una semana increíble, nuestro equipo de robótica de High School está organizando un FIRST Tech Challenge National Scrimmage con otros equipos de Asunción. Si quiere venir a ver este amistoso evento de robótica, únase a nosotros en el gimnasio de 9 a 12 el sábado 3 de junio.

Los esperamos para una noche inolvidable de música y arte en nuestro próximo concierto! Nuestra alineación cuenta con talentosos músicos de la comunidad local, mostrando una amplia gama de géneros musicales que les hará bailar toda la noche.

Desde Rock and Roll hasta Pop, R&B y más, nuestros intérpretes están listos para subir al escenario y dejarles asombrados con su increíble talento. Sin importar que sean un implacable fanático de la música o simplemente estén buscando pasar una buena noche con amigos, ¡este evento es de no perderse!

Tomen nota en su  calendario y prepárense para una noche de música y entretenimiento inolvidable. ¡Esperamos verlos  a todos!
