Elementary School Focuses on Respect at Core Values Assembly

Last week, the Elementary School hosted its quarterly Core Values Assembly, featuring special performances led by the fifth-grade and second-grade students. Families of students in these participating grades were invited to attend the dual celebrations (one in the morning and one in the afternoon).

This round of the Student-Led Core Values Assemblies focused on the value of Respect, highlighting its importance within the school community. The fifth and second graders effectively led the discussions and performances, celebrating the school’s core principles.

Next quarter, the focus will shift to Empathy, exploring how this vital value can be demonstrated in classrooms, homes, communities, and the world. Empathy helps students develop into individuals who truly see and care for others in meaningful ways.

La semana pasada, la Escuela Primaria celebró su Asamblea Trimestral de Valores Fundamentales, con presentaciones especiales dirigidas por los estudiantes de quinto y segundo grado. Las familias de los estudiantes de estos grados participantes fueron invitadas a asistir a las dos celebraciones (una por la mañana y otra por la tarde).

Esta ronda de Asambleas de Valores Fundamentales Dirigidas por Estudiantes se centró en el valor del Respeto, destacando su importancia dentro de la comunidad escolar. Los estudiantes de quinto y segundo grado dirigieron eficazmente los debates y presentaciones, celebrando los principios fundamentales de la escuela.

El próximo trimestre, el enfoque se centrará en la Empatía, explorando cómo este valor vital puede demostrarse en las aulas, los hogares, las comunidades y el mundo. La empatía ayuda a los estudiantes a convertirse en personas que realmente ven y se preocupan por los demás de manera significativa.
