Class of 2027 Celebrates Their UPD
The Class of 2027 kicked off the 2026–2027 school year in true Gator spirit! Arriving on an open-air bus and wearing an "Adventures of a Lifetime" and "Gators for Life" safari gear, the seniors were enthusiastically welcomed by parents, teachers, and fellow high schoolers.
During the celebration in the gym, school leadership and Class President Manuel Oviedo Insfrán shared inspiring words with the community. As Oviedo reminded his classmates:
"This is not just the beginning of a new school year—it's the beginning of our last great story together. The legacy we leave shouldn't be measured only by our academic, sports, or artistic achievements, but by how we treat others, the respect we show, and the unity we demonstrate as a class."
To seal their commitment to the ASA community, seniors signed the Core Values backdrop—promising to uphold excellence, integrity, respect, and empathy throughout their final year—before taking iconic group photos alongside their proud parents.
UPD (Last First Day in English) is more than a celebration of the year ahead; it honors the journey behind our students and the global bridges they will build after graduation. Congratulations, Class of 2027!
¡Nuestros estudiantes de último año dieron inicio al año escolar 2026-2027 con el auténtico espíritu Gator! Llegaron en un autobús descapotable, con atuendos de safari con los lemas "Aventuras para toda la vida" y "Gators para siempre", y fueron bienvenidos con mucho entusiasmo por padres, maestros y compañeros de la Escuela Superior.
Durante la celebración en el gimnasio, el plantel directivo escolar y el presidente de la clase, Manuel Oviedo Insfrán, compartieron palabras inspiradoras con la comunidad. Como Oviedo les recordó a sus compañeros:
"Este no es solo el comienzo de un nuevo ciclo escolar, es el comienzo de nuestra última gran historia juntos. El legado que dejemos no debe medirse únicamente por nuestros logros académicos, deportivos o artísticos, sino por cómo tratamos a los demás, el respeto que mostramos y la unidad que demostramos como promoción".
Para sellar su compromiso con la comunidad del ASA, los estudiantes de último año firmaron el cartel de Valores Fundamentales, prometiendo mantener la excelencia, la integridad, el respeto y la empatía durante su último año escolar, antes de tomarse las fotos grupales emblemáticas con esus orgullosos padres.
El UPD (Último primer día) es más que una celebración del año escolar que comienza; honra la trayectoria de nuestros estudiantes y los puentes globales que construirán después de graduarse. ¡Felicitaciones, Promoción 2027!
