ASA Teachers Present at Major U.S. Dual Language Conference

High School teachers Ida Avila, Joel Britez, and Katherine Barnett recently traveled to New Mexico, USA, to present their innovative work at La Cosecha, the largest conference for dual language educators in the United States.

They shared their collaborative multilingual and interdisciplinary projects, which blend subject areas and languages—English, Spanish, and Guaraní—developed over several years of working with ASA high school students. This work represents the highest educational standard for multilingual learners, backed by research, and was of extreme interest to teachers and administrators from around the world.

The school is extremely proud of the work the teachers and their students have achieved and their proud representation of ASA and Paraguay on an international stage. Congratulations to the team!

Los profesores de Escuela Superior Ida Ávila, Joel Britez y Katherine Barnett viajaron recientemente a Nuevo México, EE. UU., para presentar su innovador trabajo en La Cosecha, la conferencia más grande para educadores de lenguaje dual en Estados Unidos.

Compartieron sus proyectos colaborativos multilingües e interdisciplinarios, que combinan áreas temáticas e idiomas (inglés, español y guaraní), desarrollados durante varios años de trabajo con estudiantes de Escuela Superior del ASA. Este trabajo representa el más alto estándar educativo para estudiantes multilingües, respaldado por investigaciones, y despertó gran interés entre profesores y administradores de todo el mundo.
