Middle School Guidance
Meet Your Counselor

“A little personal touch goes a long way”

My name is Monica Albertini, and this is my third year as the M.S. Counselor at ASA. Previously, I was working as a therapist for a Community Mental Health Clinic in Boston, Massachusetts, helping children and adolescents with diverse issues.

As a Middle School Counselor, there are many things to do. Below you will find a list of some of the projects and tasks I am usually involved in:

• individual and group counseling (academic and personal)

• coordination of the homework club program

• coordination of the Big Brother/Big Sister program

• coordination of the Teen Health Day

• teacher/parent consultation

• crisis intervention

• new student screening and orientation

• monitoring and support of at-risk and probation students

• coordination and interpretation of standardized tests

• referral of students to community support services

• facilitation of the AA program

• transition of students to the Middle School

• liaison between teachers and parents

I am very pleased to be working with such an outstanding community of students, parents, and educators. Please stop by my office in room R6 or make an appointment with the Guidance Secretary, Ms. Carolina Codas, at Ext. 112 if I can be of help with anything.
