Prospective Teachers

CONTRACTUAL CONDITIONS

Length of Contract: Two year, renewable

Reporting Month: July

Beginning Salary: $22,500 - $27,700, tax-free

Note: Average yearly saving potential for singles is approximately 30 -40 %. Teaching teams are usually able to save all or most of a second salary.

Benefits

Economy round-trip airfare to Asuncion and return to point of origin upon completion of contract. This benefit also provided for resident dependent children.

Baggage or shipping allowance of $600

Relocation allowance of $2000, payable after arrival in Paraguay.

Medical and dental insurance provided through Tie-Care

Housing allowance of $400 per month

Degree Differential: Masters - $850 yr. And Doctorate - $1,200 yr.

Experience Differential: $400 per yr. of full-time teaching to maximum of 10 years

In country legalization costs paid by school. This benefit also provided for resident dependent children.

Recruitment agency fee, if any, will be reimbursed after arrival in Paraguay.

  • On-going commitment to professional development
  • Not required, but valued: Spanish language skills, prior overseas experience, and/or advanced teaching degrees
