Pledge of the National Honor Society Inductees:
"I pledge myself to uphold the high purpose of the National Honor Society to which I have been selected. I will be true to the principles for which it stands, always seek the light of truth, hold scholarly habits, engage in worthy service, and lead forward in all things that shall advance the welfare of the school and community."
There are an estimated half-million NHS members world-wide. The NHS has four main purposes: "To create enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote leadership, and to develop character in the students of secondary schools."
ASA is proud to have its own National Honor Society Chapter composed of students who fulfill the requirements for membership. This group of high school students, led marvelously by Ms. Janine Geenen, are actively involved in such school activities, community service, and organizations as the Homework Club, band concerts, Big Brother/Sister program, Rotary International, Red Cross, and Habitat for Humanity
The whole ASA family is proud of its NHS chapter. Without their vital help, a number of school activities would not be possible. NHS also sets a solid example for other students. Thanks NHS members and Ms. Geenen, and keep up the good work!
This year's new inductees are:
  • Paola Boettner
  • Jimena Di Iorio
  • Larissa Garcia
  • Maria Kang
  • Fang Yu Lee
  • Montserrat Solé

The Induction Ceremony

The Induction Ceremony took place last Wednesday, September 24 at the school's Multipurpose Room. Later, the NHS inductees, NHS members, and the ASA staff enjoyed a delicious dinner at Paulista Grill.
